Healthy eating…. In a nutshell

I’ve been asked repeatedly what it is exactly that I eat.  After years of researching nutrition, dieting styles, traditional cooking and wellness, I’ve come up with a formula that works well for me!!   After going on the Auto Immune Paleo Protocol and Wahl’s Protocol my personal diet is a modified version of both!!

I’m simply going to tell you what I do eat.. Extrapolating the things that should be eliminated from your diet will be really easy!!

Eat 3 – 3 1/2 ounces of protein with each meal

Eat at least 9 cups of veggies a day  – 3 cups of leafy greens, 3 cups of colorful veggies (red, yellow, orange and purple) and 3 cups of sulphorane veggies – in other words, Brassicas – Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Cabbage and Broccoli

Eat lots of good fats daily – Avocados, coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil and nuts if you can tolerate them.

Eat lots of healing spices in your food daily!

Eat some fermented food with every meal… I eat a variety, fermented sprouts, Kimchi, Sauerkraut, Currykraut, pickles and Kombucha!!

Yes, that’s it!!

No Grains, No simple carbs (potatoes, bread, pasta, rice) No processed foods, No Sugar, No Corn, No Dairy and very, very little fruit.

It’s pretty simple… Pretty easy to do…. and Will cause you to feel better!!!!IMG_1182

  1. Thanks for this, Michelle. It’s going to be harder to pull off this second time because I’m at a much lower energy ebb. But it’s really not optional if I want to get out of this nosedive. Bet your bippy… When I get my diet straightened back out I’m not making the mistake of slacking about it again!
